A fast food franchise which started life in London is heading to Teesside.
Spice Hut, which originally started in the capital, will be opening its hotly-anticipated latest branch in Hartlepool. And, residents can’t wait to tuck into the dishes.
Known for offering something with a bit of a kick, customers can choose from five different heat levels, from Mild to Naga Hot. The Hartlepool branch will be opening in York Road before the end of the month.

A spokesman for Spice Hut Hartlepool, said: “We have been given the license to spice. Spice Hut is a favourite and a staple in fast food restaurants across London. We are now moving across the country, with branches in Newcastle, Leeds & Sunderland.
“We’re talking smash burgers, craft burgers, peri peri burgers, lamb donner, chicken donner, naga donner, peri peri chicken, ribs, lamb chops and much more.”
Spice Hut was set up in London in 2005 by three friends and quickly because a favourite with a number of restaurants opening. The franchise, which now boasts 23 outlets, says its speciality is handmade fresh sauces made with unique flavours using over 20 different ingredients.
Food delivery service, Hartlepool Eats, said: “Very excited to announce Spice Hut will be opening its doors mid January and joining us on Hartlepool Eats. Think burgers, shish, wings, kebabs. The food looks absolutely incredible and we can not wait to try it.”
