A man and woman have been charged with arson following a fire in Redcar.
Abbie Jackson and Thomas Marshall appeared at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on Friday. The pair were both charged with arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered.
It’s following an alleged fire in Queen Street, in Redcar, on April 12. The duo, both of Harwal Road, in the town, have been remanded in custody and will next appear at Teesside Crown Court next month.

No pleas were entered during the short hearing. A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “A 30-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman from Redcar have been charged and remanded in custody in connection with a fire on Queen Street, Redcar, on April 12.
“The pair appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court today and will now be remanded to appear at Teesside Crown Court on 2nd June. Abbie Jackson and Thomas Marshall, both of Redcar.”
